I had a DVLA medical 4 weeks ago for drink driving, I received a letter yesterday saying I've to go for a drug urine sample, I've never been caught, cautioned, charged for drugs it was a drink driving ban. Can I refuse the test?

This is quite difficult to tell and cannot be generalised. It depends on the length of time you have been taking drugs, what type of drugs they were, for how long you've been staying away from the drugs etc. If you want to have an idea whether you've got a chance to pass the drug driving medical test, you can purchase one of the drug testing kits and see for yourself. The kits are rather cheap and you can get them for under £10.

If you're talking about THC levels and your a regular smoker, (every day), then you could be looking at 90 days because it gets stored in your fat cells. If your an occasional smoker then it could be up to 30 days. There are no hard and fast rules. It all depends on your fitness, height, weight, metabolism, diet and amount of liquid you drink. Don't bother with any of those detox's, the consensus is they don't work. There is lots of info out there but that's the gist.
