When a magistrate orders your disqualification removed early, can the DVLA increase your ban term?

The court ordered my disqualification removed on a DR10. But despite not having a drink for six months, the DVLA added 9 months to my disqualification ignoring the court order.

Get off your moral high horse dude. The judge passed sentence in accordance and dude or dudette has paid for their mistake. THEY DID NOT KILL ANYONE so I see no point talking about what could have happened. Do you think that what if's are going to solve the bigger issue? If bans are not lifted and people given a second chance to redeem themselves, then what incentive does one have not to re-offend? Forward thinking please....

Sorry but if you were drink-driving, you only have yourself to blame, and of course the DVLA haven't ignored the court, you say you got 9 months on top of 6 months? That to me is a small amount of time. If a drink-driver had killed a relative would you be seeing a 15 month ban as too much? You could so easily have killed someone, so I reckon you've got off lightly. And why a court would lift a ban is just pathetic beyond words. If it's because you need the car for work, then you should of thought of that before you got into your car and drove while over the limit.
