Can I use a mobility car for mini cabbing?

Hi, I drive my brothers mobility car and use it for when he needs a car, and personal use. I have asked him if I could use to mini cab as I recently became unemployed. He does not mind, I just wonder of there is any legal issues?

You are not allowed to use the mobility car as a minicab. This is strictly against the terms of use as specified by the Motability Car Scheme. Here's the exact clause to show that it is not permitted:

The car is not used as a taxi or delivery vehicle or for any unauthorised business use.

Although I understand that being unemployed causes a lot of stress, using your brother's car in this way would mean trouble for you and may jeopardise his use of the car as well. You should therefore look into other ways to earn a living.
