Full car licence since 1990, would I still need to take the CBT for riding a 125cc motorcycle?
I do have a full licence since 1990 and have driven a 50cc, now need to have a 125cc. Would I still need to have the CBT?

Since you obtained your driving licence before the 1st of February 2001, you are allowed to ride a moped (50cc or less) without a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). However if you wish to ride a motocycle which is 125cc, you will need to pass the CBT.
The CBT consists of 5 parts and they are introduction, practical on-site training, practical on-site riding, practical on-road training and practical on-road riding. Once you've completed these elements, you will be issued with a Certificate of Completion (DL196) which is valid for 2 years. If you do not pass the theory and practical test for motocycle within the 2 year period, you will have to resit the CTB to ride your 125cc bike afterwards.
