How much are driving lessons?
I was just wondering how much the driving lessons were? How often are driving lessons given and for how long?

Driving lessons can cost anything from £18 upwards. However at the time of writing, prices are currently £22 on average for an hour's worth of teaching. You can get discount when you buy in block driving lessons (a block of 10) because buying in bulk shows your commitment and guarantees you're coming back for more, therefore the instructor lets you make savings for giving him more work. It is best to look for a driving instructor based on recommendations from other people than going with someone nobody knows. The prices of driving lessons will however vary from instructors to instructors and that solely shouldn't be the deciding factor to have lessons with a particular instructor as the competency of the teacher is what matters most as you want to pass as quickly as possible. If you get cheap driving lessons for £15 an hour but have to take 50 lessons to pass, this will cost you £750 but if you pay another driving instructor £20 a lesson and pass after completing 30 lessons, you will save £150 because it will only cost you £600 in total. This is how cheap can cost you more in the long run.
Driving lessons are normally an hour's long but most instructors will recommend you taking a 2 hour lesson instead of one because it takes time for you to adjust (get comfortable) and to go through the teaching (showing) part before you actually drive. Some will even allow you to take 1 and half hours lessons at a time but the most common one is to take 1 hour driving lesson. The frequency really depends on how much you can afford and how soon you want to get your full driving licence. Usually people have a 2 hour driving lesson every week until they pass but if you want to pass quickly and can afford the rates, you can take lessons everyday or every other day or every couple of days to increase your chances of passing quicker. You can also do some private practice with a friend or family to better familiarise yourself with the driving skills you have learned from your instructor.
