Hi, Today i had an accident in my partner's car on which i am a named driver on her policy. I understand she wil lose her no claims .I have a separate policy on my own car. Do i even need to inform my own insurers about this, thus affecting my no claims? Ian Pierson.

Unfortunately you will have to inform your other insurer as well. Whether the claim is made on the account where you're a named driver or policyholder, there will be a record of a claim somewhere and it can eventually come and bite you afterwards if you don't disclose this information now.
