No you can't.

If you do not have any car insurance cover of your own, you are not insured.

On fully comprehensive policies, usually there's a clause which allows the driver(s) named on the policy to drive another car with the owner's permission on a third party basis. However not all comprehensive policies have this feature. In your situation, you are not covered by any insurance policy, therefore you cannot drive any car.

No longer have a car...

I no longer have a car and I was stopped by the police who asked if I had any insurance for the car which I did not but a friend told me that because my aunty has full comp insurance I was able to drive her car.

Your aunty is insured to drive the car, not you. If what your friend said was true, then there would be no point in having additional drivers (named drivers) on an insurance policy.

Unfortunately you've been driving without insurance.

You need to be insured on your aunt's car to be able to drive it. So no, you can't drive the car until you get insurance cover for it and that can be done in 2 ways:

  1. Get added onto your aunt's current car insurance policy
  2. Get short term car insurance for when you need to use your aunt's car

Don't drive until you get that sorted!
